Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling At 8.01pm on Thursday 25 September in James William Turner Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, the back door of a property was tried. No entry was gained. On Sunday 28 September in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a flat was broken into and a very untidy search made, a fridge and cooker being tipped over and a TV smashed. A bike and a Playstation 4 and controllers were stolen. Burglary Other At some time before 10.08am on Saturday 27 September at the Ashfield District Council Northern Depot, Station Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a garage was broken into but nothing was taken. Theft of motor vehicle At 7.20pm on Thursday 25 September on Lakeside Point Retail Park, Lakeside View, Sutton in Ashfield, a red Yamaha 125 Moped parked outside ‘Subway’ was stolen. At 5.17am on Tuesday 30 September at The Rifle Volunteer, Forest Road, Sutton in Ashfield a black Renault five door saloon car was stolen by a male with a blue and white bag across his shoulder. Theft from motor vehicle A report at 6.46pm on Sunday 28 September that in Gresham Close, Sutton in Ashfield, a male, late 20’s early 30’s, entered three or four cars in a communal car park. Between 11.00pm on Monday 29 and 7.15am on Tuesday 30 September in Victoria Street, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, a property was entered, either through the living room window or the back door, and a tidy search made. An air rifle, old coins, jewellery, ornaments and the back door key were stolen. Theft Between 1.09pm and 2.09pm on Wednesday 1 October in Kirkby Road, Sutton in Ashfield an electric bike was stolen from a front garden, Robbery At 1.19pm on Saturday 27 September at the Lammas Leisure Centre, Lammas Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a 15 year old male, wheeling his bicycle, was approached and engaged in a conversation about his bike by a rough looking, possibly homeless, man. The man pushed the teenager aside and says he is taking the bike and no resistance was offered as the teenager was fearful for his safety. The white male, mid to late 20’s, slim build, short light brown/ginger hair, wearing a grey and black jacket, black joggers, rode off up the road towards the Co-op. The stolen bike was a light blue Trek with black handlebars. Criminal Damage At 11.14pm on Thursday 25 September in Davies Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, white paint was poured over a fence, gate and hedges. Around 7.20pm in Milldale Walk, Sutton in Ashfield, three 14/15 year old males, wearing shorts, kicked and loosened a panel in a PVC front door. At sometime before 10.14am on Friday 26 September in Heathcote Place, Sutton in Ashfield, the gate to a back garden that backs onto the old Wickes store was forced open damaging the bottom hinge. Two ASDA shopping trolleys were dumped on the garden. There had been several incidents of antisocial behaviour at this location previously. ASB Nothing to report
